Before joining Polaris, Mitch gained 25 years of varied industrial experience from General Motors and Magnequench International. His last assignment from Magnequench was to serve as the Engineering Project Manager for the design and construction of an NdFeB magnet manufacturing facility in Tianjin, China. After three years in Tianjin, the project was completed successfully, on-time and within budget. He also has extensive experience in powdered metal processing, industrial fire safety, and alloying and rapid quenching of rare earth alloys.
Mitch graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1982. In 1991, he received his M.S. in Engineering Management from Stanford University. He currently lives in Carmel with his wife, Brenda, who is also a mechanical engineer. In his spare time, Mitch is a freelance musician in the Indianapolis area. He and Brenda are the parents to one son, Craig.
